description Season for Peak Fees: 05/15 to 09/15 Lake Clementine is a small recreational reservoir located on the North Fork of the American River within Auburn SRA, a California State Park. Auburn State Recreation Area contains almost 42,000 acres, including 50 miles of river (much of it is whitewater) on the North and Middle forks of the American River, in the rugged American River Canyon. Lake Clementine features great opportunities for boating, fishing and boat-in camping. The lake has less than 3 miles of navigable waters, through a narrow winding canyon. Less than 2 miles is free of 5 MPH no wake zones. The lake has a small marina where annual and daily boat slip rentals are available, and fuel and ice are sold: call (530) 885-5097. There is a single boat launch, and parking is limited to 25 trailers, 15 of which reserved for campsites. Check the State Parks website for additional information on the weather, suggested day hikes, or to see the park brochure, campground map, park photos, video, and more. importantInformation Discount Pass must be presented at the time of check in. Your DMV Disabled Placard/License Plate does not automatically give you a discount on your campsite. You will need to obtain a CA State park-issued Disabled Discount Pass (DDP) or Distinguished Veterans Pass (DVP). WARNING! THESE ARE BOAT-IN SITES ONLY! Boat-in sites 1st1st 05/01 - 05/15 Reservations available 05/16 - 09/15 1st1st 09/16 - 09/30 Closed when not on reservations 10/01 - 04/30 All Campsites are primitive. No potable water available. Campers must provide their own water. Pack-It-In and Pack-It-Out; dumpster available at Boat Launch only. No collection of down woody material (firewood). Reservations are site specific: limit 7 consecutive days Separate reservations are required for each boat: limit 8 people per site. Fees include entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle or trailer, additional vehicles will be charged per night at the park. Although your site may hold 2 or more vehicles, your reservation only covers 1 vehicle (except for group or specialty sites). Limited parking available for extra vehicles. Reservation fees paid DO NOT include launch fee per motorized vessel. This fee must be paid upon arrival. Appropriate annual passes accepted. Access is from a very steep, narrow road. Trailers over 24' arenot advised. Dogs are not allowed anywhere within the boundaries of Lake Clementine. Due to the narrowness of the canyon, towed inflatables are Not Allowed on the lake.
